his house was earlier known as Sheriff’s house and it was built hundred years ago by a colonial headman in an area south of Ahangama town and the present owners have carefully renovated and converted into a luxury villa. The villa is nestled in a small village down a small track off the coast road 300m from the beach.
The villa has painstakingly restored and extensively modernized the beautiful old building and created a contemporary home. The house sits on just under half an acre, or nineteen thousand square feet of land and is itself around five and a half thousand square feet, (510 sq. meters) in a total of living space.
With four bright and airy bedrooms, the house sleeps 8 comfortably. All rooms feature en-suite bathrooms, king-sized four-poster Mahogany beds, hotel quality mattresses and linen, air-conditioning, and ceiling fans.
There are several shady spaces around the house to escape and relax, parallel to the large living and dining room there is a 40ft. the long covered verandah that overlooks the pool and garden and the master has its own private verandah, room 2 also has a private deck, and there are plenty of private spaces and even a hammock to get away from everyone and relax.
There is a great circuit round the house of about 30-40 minutes, which will take in the village the train track, paddy fields, old colonial villages, and a monastery all within 1 km from the house.
