Description
Fully functioning 150-acre tea estate with around 120 acres of planted tea fields and
a monthly yield of 7,000 kg, with space for additional planning.
Located on the peak of a mountain, the elevation starts from 1,500 B and reaches
2,100 B above sea at its peak. This is the highest point in the entire Northwestern
Province of Sri Lanka.
2 large conservation rain-forests are located within the estate with ancient large trees,
natural springs, streams and waterfalls that go through the estate. These attract a
variety of birds and wildlife.
Awe inspiring, panoramic views above the clouds of the surrounding low-lying areas,
from all around the estate, along with the rain forests, makes the location ideal for a
resort development, villas and property development projects. The cool climate,
location within a tea estate and the abundant nature are ideal for an ecological,
meditation and sustainable resort.
A functioning British era tea planters’ bungalow is included, with staff quarters.
Electricity connection has been obtained and wired to the top location of the
mountain. Fresh water is freely available year-round.
Additional crops of high-quality coffee from the old British plants, along with pepper,
kithul treacle, coconut, king coconut, vanilla, cloves, cardamom, etc
Large variety of fruit trees including rambutan, mangosteen, orange, etc.
Roads have been cut to access almost all parts of the estate.
Located 20 minutes from Kurunegala town, and with the new central highway, it is
1.5 hours from Colombo, and 1 hour from Kandy.
